Workshops - Unitas Photography

Workshops, Lectures & Seminars

Below are the currently active workshops and locations I am presenting. Please read the listings carefully as they may have different sign up criteria and fees.

For a complete explanation of each of these workshops, click on the workshop link in the menu at left. You can always return to this page to complete your enrollment.

I can also be found running workshops through Learn Photography with Duck on Facebook and Milford Photo on Meetup.com. To view those events please visit their respective meetup pages by clicking on the buttons below.

For ongoing education, I can not recommend the photography forum photoMENTORIS.com enough. One of the best ways to improve your photography is through a mentor. This forum allows professional and peer photographers to help you advance.

"Studio Night" Ongoing Workshops

Studio Night sessions allow My Photo Group members and amateur photographers the opportunity to join in a community based learning environment where learning is by doing. These sessions reinforcing previously learned lessons by allowing members to remain active in the classes from session to session. It is by repetitively doing that lessons get ingrained into our common knowledge.

These ongoing workshops are designed to be;

  • Affordable, pay $10 per session at the door
  • Accessible, for your continuing education
  • Informal, attend sessions as they suit your schedule
  • Easy to follow, simple breakdowns and step by step instructions
  • Fun, socialize and learn with other like-minded photographers

Studio Night - Lightroom Edition

First Monday of the Month

6:00 PM to 8:00 PM

Unitas Photography Studio

415 Howe Avenue, Suite 181, Shelton

This is an ongoing series where we will explore Adobe's Lightroom Classic and maybe even the mobile app. Informal sessions work on group consensus as to the topic to be covered. I will post a general topic in the Facebook group but topics tend to be flexible. These are small groups where we often tackle two or three topics per session.

What to Bring: Definitely bring your laptop preloaded with LR and a pointing device (tablet is recommended but at least a mouse). Don't forget your power supply. Have at least one or two images on your system you would like to work on during the session.

Feel free to bring snacks and beverages. Any beverage must be in a container that can be secured to prevent spillage.

Price: $10.00 / per session*

* You can pay at the door. Come as often or as seldom as you like. Topics will vary from session to session. See the Facebook group for details.
